Why Custom?

Every cyclist has their own thought on the best kit out there. When we committed to our first custom design the decision on which clothing manufacture to use was hotly contested between Swiss, Italian and a local Australian company. What set the guys at Marcello Bergamo apart from the others was the quality of their customer service. Not only was it the most professional and respectful, the guys involved with the Australian distribution literally went out of their way to make it as easy for us to trial, test, design and order than any other company. 4 versions later and this same high level of customer service is as good if not better as they have increased their scope in Australia, which through scale of economies has lead to more cost effective kit with higher quality garments. As South Melbourne Physio cycling has grown from a beach road shop ride to VRS B grade and Masters A grade, so to has the garment list. As more people come on board and appreciate the quality of garments, we’ve had to keep up with the demand of order, such that we now import jerseys, knicks, gillets, long sleeves jerseys, speed suit and neck buffs. Our trip went very well and in particular everyone was very happy with the kit. It was very comfortable and fitted well and really everyone was very very happy. Lots of great comments from everyone. Personally, I found the long sleeve to be very comfy, and the bib shorts in particular to be great. The short sleeve jersey was perfect.

The level of service we received from the Marcello Bergamo team was excellent – we got exactly what we ordered. We still see Baker IDI jerseys that were made 5 years ago, looking like they were made yesterday. If you’re considering purchasing go for the Sportivo, I’ve raced in Europe and have always had great gear but nothing so far compares to the Sportivo.

The gear we purchased is awesome and I have only had positive feedback from our group. After trying other manufacturers for our team kit the MB gear is the best by far.
